This Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, part of our Prevention Brigade participated in an intensive training on forest fires, given by the SPAI Foundation. Three six-hour meetings were held at the @bomberosvoluntariosmeliquina fire station, with the participation of trainees and firefighters from @bomberosvoluntariossma.
From six in the morning until noon they reviewed theoretical and practical aspects of firefighting, communication, assembly of attack lines, supply from streams and Lake Meliquina, defensive and protective maneuvers.
The French SPAI Foundation was founded in 2000 and its philosophy is the assistance, cooperation, training and donation in all South American countries on civil security issues.
They have been cooperating for more than 15 years with a donation of more than six CCF units (Forest Combat Truck), two mixed fire and rescue fire trucks, high altitude rescue and vehicle rescue material, just to name a few of their donations.
